Imperial was formed in 1906 and moved to the present Mansfield site in 1913. Many changes have taken place since then, most significantly the fact that we have continued to successfully change with the times. We may be a long established Company, but we have a great team here who are determined to maintain Imperial as one of the leading commercial laundries in the UK. The Company, employing around 140 people, have acquired an additional site in Kirkby in Ashfield which opened in the summer of 2008, and this has become both the Workwear Rental production facility and the base for our new washroom services company, 'Solutions for Hygiene', ( see news section) leaving the Mansfield site to concentrate predominantly on the Healthcare, Hotel and Restaurant Linen market.
The business is privately owned and has seen a period of significant investment over the past 10 years under the current Directors, William and Robert, both of whom are closely involved in the day to day running of the business This investment in both infrastructure and modern equipment has enabled the company to become both highly competitive and more efficient as a production unit and equally importantly has given us the potential for significant expansion over the coming years.
Our core business of supplying Linen services to the Healthcare industry, Hotels and Restaurants, Workwear solutions for anything from Heavy Engineering works to Hairdressing salons, and Washroom Hygiene Services, continues to grow.
Our staff are highly experienced and motivated, many of whom have been with us for more years than they would care to remember, and who also share our belief that quality is paramount and this is reflected in the presentation of the work that we produce.
